Maemae students are grouped into two categories. Below are the plans for packet pickup based on each category.
Distance Learning Students: Families who opted for the Distance Learning (Acellus) program have registered online and are in the program for at least one quarter. Instruction for the first quarter is August 24 - October 2. There is no instruction provided by a Maemae teacher.
Distance Learning packet pick up is August 17. See details below.
Model A: Face-to-Face Students (Online Aug 24 - Sept 11): Students will receive instruction through their homeroom teacher. Public schools were directed to begin online instruction August 24 - September 11. Instruction in-person, at school is scheduled to resume September 14.
Face-to-Face packet pickup is August 18 & 19. See details below.
Distance Learning Packet Pickup:
On Monday, August 17 please pick up your child’s materials and device (if you requested one) at the Maemae bus shelter. Due to construction on Wyllie Street, please use Nuuanu Avenue and inform the police that you are going to the school. If no officer is at the intersection, proceed onto Wyllie Street when you may safely do so. Enter the school driveway and proceed to the bus shelter. The schedule is as follows:

A - H 8:00 - 8:30am
I - L 8:30 - 9:00am
M - S 9:00 - 9:30am
T - Z 9:30 - 10:00am
Live Virtual Acellus Orientation 3:00 - 4:00pm (Recording will be posted on school website)
Face-to-Face Packet Pickup will be on Tuesday, August 18 and Wednesday, August 19 scheduled by last name. Parking will be available on the Big Field. By the end of this week each teacher will email you the room number your child is assigned to. You may request to borrow a device at that time.

For social distancing purposes, we are asking you to adhere to the following guidelines:
No more than two people per family
Maintain a 6’ distance from one another.
A mask or face covering must be worn at all times
Proceed directly to your child’s classroom(s) to pick up packets. Please leave as soon as possible to free up parking for the next group of families.
Playgrounds and equipment will be off-limits
No loitering
No socializing and/or congregating of families
