PTSA "Doodle You"

Hello Ma'ema'e Families!

We had such a great time decorating coasters with Candice Soon in our "Drop in for a Doodle" sessions. Now it's time to "Doodle YOU!" Get creative and doodle your coasters with anything that brings you JOY. It could be any or all of your favorites: food, person, place, activity and/or thing. Coasters were distributed to all face-to-face students this week. Distance Learners will receive their coasters at packet pick up on March 19th.

All doodles and drawings can be submitted to maemaeprograms@gmail.com, make sure to include the child's name and room number.

UPDATE: Last day to submit coaster designs and/or Ma`ema`e doodles is Thursday, 3/25/21.

Need some ideas? Below are a few examples designed during last week's session. Also attached is the Ma'ema'e Doodle designed by Candice for our students - print the image and doodle all the things you love about your school.

Wanna keep your creations for a long, long time? Here is the "secret" recipe to cherish your coaster creations:

Cornstarch Paste

  1. Mix ½ cup water with ½ cup cornstarch

  2. Heat mixture in a pan on low heat and stir until thick and smooth

  3. Remove from heat and cool before using

  4. Allow 24 hours to dry after applying on crafts

Mixture can be stored in the fridge and used for other crafting projects! It can double as glue and dries clear.

Looking forward to all your wonderful doodles and creations!

Thank you,

Ma'ema'e Programs
