Pantries for Peeps and Paws

Aloha Ma'ema'e Families,

We are excited to share that this year, in addition to our annual food drive, we will be expanding our efforts to support both people and pets in our community! From March 2nd - March 6th, we will be hosting our very first Pantries for Peeps & Paws Drive!

Please consider donating these most needed items:

FOOD DRIVE:

  • Canned Proteins (e.g. tuna or chicken)

  • Canned Meals (e.g. stew, spaghetti, chili)

  • Canned Fruits

  • Canned Vegetables

  • Bags of Rice

  • Please no drinks or bottled water

  • Monetary donations (cash or check) are also greatly appreciated. Please make checks payable to the "Hawaii Food Bank" and be sure to include "Ma'ema'e Food Drive" on your check. Every $10 donated helps provide food for more than 20 meals! 

PET DRIVE:

Food (unopened, non-expired): 

  • Dog treats (no chicken jerky-type treats

  • Rabbit and guinea pig treats 

  • Bird treats 

  • Dry dog/cat food for Pet Food Bank 

  • Canned wet dog/cat food for Pet Food Bank

Toys (new, unused):

  • Cat toys (no strings or button attachments) 

  • Dog toys (no ropes, string or button attachments)

  • Kongs (all sizes; the bigger, the better) 

  • Ping pong balls 

Supplies: 

  • Dog beds (all sizes, clean, lightly used – no holes, please!)

  • Reusable tote bags

  • 9 volt batteries 

  • Clean towels and linens (new or lightly used - flat sheets, blankets) 

  • Clay cat litter (non-clumping) 

  • Gallon-sized freezer bags 

  • Non-retractable leashes

The deadline for all donations will be Friday morning, March 6th.
