Gr 1-5 Open House/Supply Drop Off

REMINDER: OPEN HOUSE/SUPPLY DROP OFF IS WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 2

This event is intended for families with children in Grades 1 through 5. You will be given a folder of information and forms to complete upon visiting your child’s classroom. There may not be time for Q&A sessions with your child's teacher. Should you have questions AFTER you have reviewed all the contents of the folder you may direct them to your child's teacher or the school office.

  • Room assignments will be posted outside the school office beginning July 24.

  • Parking will be available on the big field and at 7th Day Adventist Church beginning at 4pm. See our School Map.

  • Schedule:

4:30 - 5:10pm Classroom visitation round 1

  • Share Open House video

  • Teacher sharing of classroom information

5:10 - 5:15pm Passing time

5:15 - 5:35pm Classroom visitation round 2 (for those with multiple children)

5:45pm Campus closes

MEAL INFORMATION AND APPLICATION

Meal prices for the coming school year remain unchanged and are listed at https://www.maemaeschool.com/school-meals

Deposits to your child’s meal account can be made at EZSchoolPay.com or in-person at the school office. See the EZ School Pay How To Guide to get started.

Families eligible for free and reduced-priced meals can apply online at EZMealApp.com starting July 15. Type “Hawaii” in Search for District, select "DOE - Honolulu, Central, ... " to get started.


AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAMS

Please see attached list of afterschool programs. An updated list will be provided at Open House.


DOE COVID-19 HEALTH & SAFETY GUIDANCE

  • Mask wearing is optional.

  • “Stay home when sick” applies more generally to when someone has symptoms of illness; not just COVID-19.

  • Physical distancing is no longer a mitigation strategy.

  • When someone tests positive for COVID-19, notification will no longer be sent to staff and parents unless there is a suspected cluster of cases or outbreak. Positive cases are publicly reported online.
