Distance Learning Enrollment
Requests for enrollment in the Distance Learning program are made by completing the Distance Learning Request and emailing it to our Student Service Coordinator at: email@example.com. The school distance learning team will review requests for enrollment and will notify parents of their registration in the K12/STRIDE online learning program.
Distance Learning Program
Distance Learning Students will be enrolled in the K12/STRIDE distance learning program. The K12/STRIDE distance learning program provides curriculum in Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, and Science. This platform is a stand alone program and not necessarily the same material that teacher(s) are teaching in-person.
Distance Learning Support
A distance learning teacher will be assigned for general monitoring of progress, but will not provide specific instructional or content support. Students can use the K12/STRIDE Tech Support Team and Academic Support Team 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for assistance.
Distance Learning Agreements
Parents who opt to register their child for the K12/STRIDE distance learning program will be committed to a full semester of distance learning. Parents must re-register their child in early December for the 2nd semester. All students not registered for the K12/STRIDE distance learning program for the 2nd semester will automatically be enrolled in our 100% in-person program and will be expected to come to school for instruction.
Parents must ensure that they (or a responsible adult) will closely monitor and support their child’s online learning from home as the Caring Adult/Learning Coach.
Final grades will be awarded at the end of every quarter based on the grade assigned in the K12/STRIDE distance learning program. It is expected that all courses will be 100% complete by the deadline. Satisfactory “S” and/or unsatisfactory “U” grades may be provided if allowed, through Infinite Campus. Attendance will be monitored. Students must complete assignment(s) daily to be counted “present.” Although your child will be completing classes 100% online, he/she will be required to participate in schoolwide (i.e. iReady diagnostics), statewide (if applicable), and other school assessments.
